FxMind needs your trades to do anything useful. There are two ways to give it to them. This is step 2 of 6.
Way 1: link the account (best)
- Open Accounts and press Link an account.
- Pick your platform, MT5 or MT4, and keep Read-only selected. Read-only uses the investor password, a view-only password: nobody who holds it can open, close or move a trade.
- Type the Login (the account number, digits only), the Investor password and the Server exactly as your platform shows it, for example
FTMO-Server3. Pick the server from the list. - Optional: give it a Label you will recognise, like
FTMO 100k. - Press Check and link. It takes 3 to 6 seconds.
Do not have the investor password? Find or reset it in a minute. The full walk-through is in Link an MT5 or MT4 account.
What happens next
The account shows syncing, then live. FxMind reads your history from the broker, so your past trades arrive in the Journal without typing anything. How far back it goes depends on your broker. A brand new account has no history, and an empty journal is then correct.
Way 2: no account to link? Import a file
If you trade on a platform FxMind cannot link, or you only have a statement from your broker, open Journal, go to Import, and upload a CSV, an XLSX file, or an MT5 report or MT4 statement. A preview shows how many trades are new before anything is saved, and every import can be undone in one click. Details.
