Trading on margin can lose all your capital
Forex, CFDs and futures are traded on margin. Prices can move quickly and against you. You can lose all the money in your account, and losses can come faster and be larger than you expect. With some brokers and products, or when a market gaps past your stop, you can lose more than you deposited and owe your broker the difference.
Your broker can raise margin requirements, close your positions at its stop-out level or refuse orders without warning, especially around news and over the weekend.
Leverage works in both directions
Leverage lets you control a position larger than the margin you put up, so a small price move makes a large gain or loss against your balance. At 1:100 leverage, a 1% price move against a position equals all of the margin that holds it. The higher the leverage, the faster losses arrive.
FxMind is not advice
FxMind is an analytics and risk-monitoring tool. It does not know your finances, your goals or how much loss you can bear. It gives no investment advice, no recommendations and no signals, and it never tells you to buy, sell or hold. Every trading decision is yours, and so is its result.
Past results do not predict future results
FxMind shows historical figures, such as the usual move after an economic release, your win rate or the past results of a setup. They describe the past. For example, if a pair moved 45 pips on average in the 15 minutes after the last 12 releases of a report, the next release can move 5 pips or 150, in either direction. Averages also hide the worst case.
Prop firm evaluations and funded accounts
- A prop firm evaluation, or challenge, has its own rules and fees. Breaking a rule, even by a small amount or for a moment, can fail the evaluation or close a funded account, and the fees are usually not returned.
- Firms set and change their rules, calculate limits in their own ways and decide whether to pay out. Some funded accounts are simulated, and payouts depend on the firm's terms.
- FxMind presets are starting points, collected from public information on the date shown. You must check every rule against your firm's current rules and your own agreement. The firm's rules and your agreement always prevail.
- Some firms restrict third-party tools, copy trading or sign-ins from other IP addresses. Check before you link an account.
Warnings and guard actions have limits
FxMind cannot block an order. Your broker accepts or rejects it, and FxMind learns about a trade only after that, then warns or acts. A warning or a guard action can be late, partly done or not happen at all, for example when:
- the connection between FxMind and your broker drops, or a proxy fails;
- your broker or the MetaTrader server has an outage, rejects or requotes the request, or trading is disabled on the symbol or the account;
- the spread is wider than the maximum in your policy, so the guard sends an alert instead of acting;
- the market is closed, or gaps past your level at a release or at the weekend open;
- an email, push, Telegram or Discord message is delayed by the provider, the network or your device;
- calendar data is missing, moved or wrong;
- FxMind is under maintenance or has a fault.
Other automated features carry the same risk
Copy-following a community setup with automatic management, a TradingView hook draft, and an AI application trading through your own MCP key can all send an instruction to your broker without you typing an order in the moment. Every limit above applies to them exactly as it applies to a guard action: they can be late, partial, wrong or not happen, they carry the connection, broker and market risk described here, and you are responsible for the result of every order they send, the same as if you had placed it yourself. Turning one on is your own decision and can be turned off at any time.
Slippage and gaps
Slippage is the difference between the price you expected and the price you got. In fast markets, and when a market reopens with a gap, there may be no price near your level, so the order fills at the next available price. A close at market during a news release can fill far from the last price you saw. This applies to guard actions exactly as it applies to orders you place yourself.
Data can be delayed or wrong
Prices, calendar times, forecasts, actual figures, positioning reports and headlines come from third-party sources. They can be delayed, incomplete, revised or wrong. Prices in FxMind can differ from your broker's prices, and your broker's prices are the ones your orders fill at.
AI answers can be wrong
The analyst's answers are generated by AI models. The analyst is instructed to cite a source for each fact, which helps you check it, but a model can still misread a source, mix up dates, leave out something important or state something that is not true. Open the source and verify it before you act on an answer.
AI trade ideas are not advice and can lose money
If you turn on trade ideas, they are worked out automatically by AI models from market data and your journal. They are not financial, investment or trading advice and are not personalised to you. An idea can be wrong, can lose money, including more than you expect, and past performance of past ideas, including any scorecard FxMind shows, does not predict the next one. FxMind never places an order from an idea for you.
No guarantee of profit or protection
FxMind does not guarantee profit. It does not guarantee that you will avoid a loss, pass an evaluation, keep a funded account or receive a payout. The limits of our liability are set out in the terms of service.
