A brief is a short written read on one market before a trading session: what is scheduled, how wide the days are running, where large speculators sit, what moved. It gives context and risk only. It never says where price will go and it is not advice. Open it from the menu: Market briefs (in the simple menu it sits under All tools).
The board
The page shows one card per market. Each card has:
- The live price and the spread (the gap between the buy and the sell price, which you pay on every trade). A badge like you are long 0.10 appears when you hold a position in that market.
- The latest written brief: its headline, a one-line summary, the session and the time it was written.
- Next news, medium and high impact: the next three releases for that market's currencies, each with a countdown.
- Latest headlines: the two newest, with the source and how long ago.
Top right, a line tells you whether prices are live, delayed or offline. The numbers come from FxMind's own feed.
Open one market's brief
- Press the symbol name, or the brief text, on its card.
- Under Latest briefs, pick the session: Asia, London or New York. The line at the right says when the next brief comes.
- Read the brief. The numbered chips are sources. Tap one to see what the number came from. Sources at the bottom lists all of them with their dates.
- Below it, Next news and Latest headlines show the live releases and the headlines graded for that market, from 0 (noise) to 3 (can move the price on its own).
- Use All briefs, or the arrows with the neighbouring symbols, to move on.
Times show in your time zone. Briefs are written in your language. A brief that is not ready in your language yet shows in English and says so.
Volatility regime is how wide this market's days are compared with its own last year, from the 14-day ATR (average true range): Quiet is the bottom quarter, Extreme the top tenth. COT is the weekly report on futures positions, which FxMind reads to see how speculators lean. Both terms open a short explainer on the page when you tap them.
Three a day, and sometimes none
The desk writes a brief for each market and session, which means up to three a day (Asia, London, New York). It writes one when it has something solid to say: a session range, what is scheduled next, and what that release has done to this market before. When it does not, it leaves the brief out. You then see No brief yet for that session and the live numbers underneath, which are current. A brief is never filled in to look complete.
Get them without opening the page
Open Settings > Notifications. In What is sent where, find Session briefs and choose the channels you want. Briefs before the session under Timing sets when they arrive.
Ask for another market
At the bottom of the board, Ask for a brief on another market lets you search for a market and press Send request. A ticket opens and our team answers by email and in your chats. If they approve it, the market joins the board for every customer for a set time. Your requests shows the status of each one.
