The analyst answers questions about a market, a news release or your own trades. It reads the same data you can: the calendar, past reactions, COT positioning, headlines, your linked accounts and your journal. Every fact in an answer shows where it came from. Open it from the menu: Ask the analyst (Analyst on a phone).
Ask a question
- Open the page. The first screen asks What do you want checked and offers starter questions in three groups: Before the news, Your account and Your trades. Press one, or write your own.
- Type in the box.
Entersends.Shift+Enterstarts a new line. - The first time, FxMind shows Before the AI reads your data. It says what is sent and what never is (your broker password, 2FA codes and card numbers). Read it and press I agree. You can take that back any time in Settings. The AI features then stop for your account. The journal, warnings and guards keep working.
- Wait while the status line shows what it is reading, such as checking the calendar or reading your open positions.
- Read the answer. The numbered chips are sources: see How the analyst shows its sources.
Press Stop to cancel an answer. The question still counts once the answer has started. Copy answer copies the text. Good questions name a pair, a release or a period: How close am I to my daily loss limit on my prop account? Why did I lose on Tuesday?
New conversation
Press New conversation to start from a blank page. On a computer the list of chats sits on the left. On a phone the list comes first and each chat opens on its own screen with a back arrow.
- Search chats finds an earlier chat. Chats are grouped as Today, Yesterday, Previous 7 days and Earlier. Archived holds the ones you put away.
- The menu on a chat (Chat options) has Rename, Archive, Restore and Delete. A deleted chat cannot be brought back, and its questions still count toward this month.
- A chat made with an older version of the analyst can be read but not continued. Press Continue in a new chat.
Your monthly questions
Every plan includes a number of questions a month. Each message you send counts as one, however long the answer is. The list of chats shows how many you have left and when the count resets.
- Free
- 20 a month
- Trader
- 250 a month
- Pro
- 750 a month
- Elite
- 1,500 a month
- Desk
- 3,200 a month
The count starts again on the 1st. You get a notice at 80%. At 100% the chat stops until the 1st. Press Add extra questions to buy a pack of 250 for $14 or 1,000 for $45. Guards and briefs keep running. On the demo account everyone shares one allowance a day, which resets at 00:00 UTC. Details: How the analyst shows its sources.
Trade ideas (paid plans)
A normal chat never gives entries, stops or targets. Trade ideas is a separate mode you turn on yourself. In it you can ask for a setup on a forex pair, on gold or silver, on a crypto pair such as BTCUSD, or on an index such as US30, and the analyst works one out from FxMind's own data. For any other market it tells you what the data shows and gives no setup. It is on the paid plans and on the free trial, not on Free.
- On the new-chat screen, find the Trade ideas row and press Read the risk note and turn on.
- Read the note, tick I have read this and I accept it. and press Turn on trade ideas.
- Start a new chat with Trade ideas chosen in the Analyst | Trade ideas switch.
- Ask, for example: Give me a trade idea on EURUSD on the 1-hour chart, with where it is wrong.
The answer comes with an idea card: the direction, the Entry zone, the Stop, the Target, how long the idea Stands until, what makes it Wrong if, and Why, with sources. Open in ticket puts the entry, stop and target into the desk's order ticket as a draft. There is no lot size and nothing is sent: you check it, size it and send it yourself. Every idea can lose money and you decide.
Ideas scorecard shows how your past ideas played out on our own price data, counted the same way every time. Under 30 decided ideas it shows only counts, because a rate on so few says almost nothing. Turn off in the same row switches the mode off.
What the analyst will not do
- In a normal chat it does not tell you to buy or sell, give entries, stops or targets, or predict where a price goes.
- It does not answer from memory. If the data is missing, it says so.
- It does not place, change or close a trade. Orders come only from you.
- It does not change your journal by itself. When you ask for a change such as tagging trades, it shows a Proposed journal change first, and nothing changes until you press Apply. You can undo it for 7 days.
When something does not work

- The part that reached you counts as a question. Ask again for the rest

- It is switched off on our side. Nothing is charged and no question is used. It comes back by itself
- Questions are not switched on for this account yet
- Your plan has no questions right now. You see a sample conversation. See pricing
- Older than the analyst's memory
- Start a new conversation to continue
