Mentor mode: let someone read your journal

Invite a mentor to see your trades and comment on them, read-only. Mentor seats come from your plan's seats. A mentor can never trade, link an account or see your billing.

Mentor mode lets someone else (a coach, a friend who trades) look at your journal without touching your account. They get a link, sign in with their own FxMind account, and read your journal. Everything is read-only.

Seats: who can have mentors

A seat is one place for a person. One seat is yours. The other seats of your plan can go to mentors or to team members, who share the same pool. Elite has 2 seats in all, so 1 for a mentor. Desk has 5, so 4. Plans with 1 seat have no mentor seat. The page shows how many are taken, for example 1 of 4 mentor seats used.

Invite a mentor

  1. Open Journal. You are on Trades.
  2. At the bottom of the list, under Also in Trades, open Mentors.
  3. Type their email in Mentor's email.
  4. Tick Let them comment on trades and days if you want them to write comments. Leave it off for read-only.
  5. Press Send invitation. The link works once and expires after 7 days.

Your mentor opens the link, signs in (or creates an account) with the same email you typed, confirms that email if asked, and presses Accept. A link opened with another address does not work.

What a mentor can and cannot do

See your trades, reviews, notes, tags, screenshots, reports, playbooks and daily reviews
Yes
Comment on a trade or a day, if you allow it
Yes
Trade, link an account, open your broker logins, see billing or settings, change guards, use your analyst questions or export your data
No

Stop a mentor, or change comments

  1. Open Journal, then Mentors, in the list Who reads your journal.
  2. Press Withdraw next to an invitation nobody has used yet, or End access next to someone who reads your journal. They lose access on their next request and get an email.
  3. To allow or stop comments, use the Comments switch on that person's row. It applies the next time they load a page.

Invitations and ended access are written to your account's security activity. If your plan stops having a seat for a mentor (for example after a downgrade), that mentor shows as Paused and sees nothing until a seat is free again.

If you are the mentor

After you accept, the page Mentors lists Journals you read. Press Open journal to read one. A banner at the top says you are reading that journal read-only. Press Back to my journal to return to your own, or Stop reading in the list to leave.
