Compare periods, cross-analyze and export a PDF

The Stats page compares two filters side by side, crosses a second breakdown inside one filter, colours a yearly heatmap of your P&L, and downloads a PDF report.

Open Stats to go past the daily numbers. It has four tabs: Overview, Compare, Cross analysis and Calendar. Each one answers a different question, and each works on your closed trades.

The filters used below

Compare and Cross analysis use the same filter fields: Account, From, To, Symbols (type pairs with commas, for example EURUSD, GBPUSD), Side (Both, Buy or Sell), Tag, and Session (Asia, London, New York, Overlap, Off-hours). Leave a field empty to mean everything.

Compare two sets

  1. Open the Compare tab.
  2. Fill the filter for Set A, for example the last 3 months.
  3. Fill the filter for Set B, for example the 3 months before that, or the same dates on another account.
  4. Press Compare.

You get one row per measure: net result, number of trades, win rate (how often a trade ended in profit), profit factor (money won divided by money lost), expectancy (what an average trade makes) and more. The last column, marked with a triangle, is the difference. Next to each figure is n, how many trades stand behind it. A gap built on 6 trades means little.

Cross analysis

Cross analysis answers questions like: how do I do on each pair in each session?

  1. Open the Cross analysis tab and set the filter.
  2. Pick what goes down the side in Rows, and across the top in Columns: Symbol, Session, Side, Weekday, Hour (UTC), Hold time or Tag.
  3. Set Minimum sample. Boxes with fewer trades than this are dimmed, never hidden.
  4. Press Run.

The yearly calendar

  1. Open the Calendar tab.
  2. Pick an Account and a Year (the arrows change the year).
  3. Read the grid: every trading day of the year is coloured by its net result. Click a day to open it in the journal. Below it, By month and By weekday add up the same numbers.

For one month with a box per day, use the P&L calendar on the Overview tab instead.

The PDF

  1. On the Overview tab, pick the account and the range (30D, 90D or All).
  2. Tick Include my notes for this period if you want your notes in the report.
  3. Press Download PDF at the top right of the page. It is written in the language you are using.
