Sometimes you want a mentor, a friend or a community to see a trade or your results. Sharing makes a read-only page with its own address. Nothing is shared until you turn it on. A page never shows your name, your email or your full account number.
Share one trade
- Open the trade in Journal. Review a trade.
- Press Share at the top right.
- Choose what to show. Always shown: symbol, side, times, chart, prices, R and pips. Switch on Show money for the net result and the lot size, and Show my note for the note from your review.
- Press Create link. The link is copied. Press Copy to copy it again.
The button now says Shared. Open it to change the choices (Save choices), see how many times the link was opened, or press Turn the link off, which stops it at once.
Share an account or a setup
- Open Journal. At the bottom of the trade list, under Also in Trades, open Sharing.
- Press Share an account for your results, or Share a setup for a playbook's rules and how your trades on it turned out.
- Pick which one to publish.
- Give the Page name, what visitors see at the top.
- Choose What visitors see: The curve, Curve and statistics, or Everything, trades included (your last 200 closed trades).
- Choose Show amounts. Off means visitors see percentages only, never an amount. Percentages need What the account started with, so type the starting balance.
- Optional, under More options: Show the broker (the broker name and the last three digits of the account number), Show notes and screenshots, a Period, a Passphrase of 6 characters or more, and Let search engines find this page (off by default).
- Press Publish. The address appears. Press Copy and send it.
We keep only a fingerprint of the address, so nobody at FxMind can open your page from the database. This browser remembers it for you. On another device, press New link, which replaces the address and stops the old one.
Change or stop sharing
The Sharing page lists everything of yours that is public now: what it shows, whether it has a passphrase, whether search engines may list it, and how many views it had. On each one you can Copy link, Copy embed code, New link, Change and Stop sharing. Stopping takes the page offline at once and its address stops working. You can publish it again later with a new address.
What a visitor sees
A page with a passphrase asks for it before anything loads. A visitor sees a short explanation of the terms (net, win rate, profit factor, drawdown), a note that past results do not predict future results, and that FxMind does not audit what you publish. Sharing works on every plan.
When it does not work
- This page is not shared any more (what a visitor sees): you stopped sharing it, or replaced the link. Send the current address.
- This browser does not have the address of this page: press New link to get one.
- Every account you have is already shared: open one of the pages in the list to change it instead.
