A community is a real-time chat room of traders. It is public (anyone on FxMind can find and join it) or private (only people with an invite link). Joining and chatting are free on every plan. Communities are not part of the demo account: create your own account to join one.
Where it is
Communities live on the Desk. On a computer, open Desk and use the Community tab in the side panel, next to Ticket, Analyst and Headlines. A number on the tab counts new messages in rooms you are not looking at. On a phone, open More and then Community.
Join a public community
- Open the Community tab. Your rooms are at the top under Your communities.
- Under Find a community, type a word of the name in the search box. Sort by Most members or Newest.
- Press Join on the one you want. The room opens and a message says you joined.
- Write in the box at the bottom and press Send. To leave, open the room's menu and choose Leave. You can join again later if it is public.
Use an invite link
A private room has no public listing. Its owner or a moderator sends you a link that ends in /app/community/join/ and a long code.
- Sign in to your FxMind account. If you have none, create one first: it is free.
- Open the link. The page says Opening the invite for a moment.
- FxMind joins you once and takes you to the room on the Desk.
If the page says This invite did not work, read the sentence under it. The usual causes: the link has been used as many times as it allows, it has expired or was revoked, or you were removed from that room. Ask the owner for a new link. Press Go to the desk to leave.
House rules of every room
- Messages are plain text, up to 2,000 characters, with at most 5 mentions.
- Only Telegram links can be posted. Any other link is refused, and an owner can turn member links off.
- A new account (under 24 hours old, or with an unconfirmed email) cannot post links and can send one message a minute.
- Sending very fast, or the same text twice within a minute, is refused with a short wait.
- Press the menu on a message to Report as Spam, Scam, Abuse or Something else. Enough reports hide a message until a moderator decides.
- Moderators can mute a member for a set time. The owner can ban a member.
- Never share a password or a 2FA code in a room.
Setup cards
A room owner can publish one of their own open or pending trades as a setup card: the pair, entry, stop and target, read from their broker, with the card label Live, Demo or a prop firm tag. The card follows the trade until it closes and shows the real result. A card is never deleted, only hidden by a moderator with the reason shown. A room's record line counts setups published before entry; setups published after entry are marked and left out of it. Owners can also share a live chart and use threads.
Follow a setup on your own account
On Pro and above you can copy a setup to your own account with one press. FxMind never opens a trade by itself: you choose the size and press the button, and it is your own order on your own account.
- On the card, press Follow.
- Pick the account. It must be linked with the master password, not the read-only investor password, and be a hedging account.
- Choose how to size it: Risk %, Money at risk or Lots. A setup with no stop can only be followed by lots. A lot is the size of a trade: 1.00 lot of EURUSD is 100,000 euros.
- Read your stop and target and the distance from the owner's entry. If your guard rules warn about it, a box explains and asks you to press I understand, send it.
- Press the send button. The card then shows Following with your lots and, later, your result in R.
The box Manage my trade like the owner's decides what happens when the owner moves the stop or target, closes part, closes or cancels. Ticked: FxMind makes the same change on your trade at once, and you can turn it off for that trade at any time. Not ticked, or if your guard rules or the broker block a change: the change comes as a prompt, The owner changed a trade you follow, with Apply and Ignore. Your guard rules check every change the same way they check an order you place yourself.
Start your own community
Creating a community comes with Pro and above, including the free Pro trial. You can own up to 3. Press Create on the Community tab, give it a name of 3 to 40 characters and a description, and choose Public or Private. In the room's menu, Invite people makes a link: pick how many days it is valid and how many times it can be used. The link is shown once, so copy it then. Links still open lists live links and lets you revoke them. Members and Reports are there for owners and moderators.
Alerts from your rooms
New setups in your rooms, the owner's changes to a trade you follow and mentions arrive under the Community kind of notifications. Each room has its own switches.
