Blog/Guides for new traders

Share a verified forex track record, without handing out your login

A public page read straight from your broker link: time-weighted gain, drawdown, win rate and profit factor, with the account number, the broker and your name hidden until you choose to show them.

Short answer

  • A track record page is opt-in, per linked account, off by default. Turning it on or off, or changing what it shows, writes to your audit log.
  • Only a broker-linked account qualifies, and only closed trades count. Manual and CSV trades are excluded, and the page says so in one line.
  • Gain is time-weighted: deposits and withdrawals, read from the broker's own balance history, never count as trading skill.
  • The account number, the login, the broker's name and any display name are hidden by default. You choose what to reveal, one switch at a time.
  • It comes with an embeddable widget and a PNG badge for a forum signature, and regenerating the page's address kills every old link to it.

Words used here

Time-weighted gain
A return that excludes deposits and withdrawals, so adding money never looks like a winning trade and taking money out never looks like a loss.
Verified
Read from the broker through your investor or read-only link. FxMind does not audit these numbers beyond reading them; the page says so.
Public id
A random 22-character address for the page. Regenerating it breaks every old link at once.
Max drawdown
The largest drop from a running peak in your actual equity, deposits and withdrawals included, because that is the money that was really at risk.

A public page, read from the broker link

Myfxbook and FX Blue built their names on one thing: a public page that reads a trader's own broker account, so a result is not just a screenshot someone could have edited. FxMind's track record page does the same job, narrower on purpose: only a broker-linked account qualifies, and only closed trades count. A manual or CSV journal cannot be verified against a broker, so it is refused rather than shown with an asterisk.

Why the gain % is time-weighted

A plain "balance now minus balance at the start, over the start" number breaks the moment you deposit or withdraw: add $10,000 to a $10,000 account and the naive number reads +100% with no trade behind it. FxMind reads every deposit and withdrawal from the broker's own balance history, treats each one as closing a sub-period, and links the sub-periods together (compounding), so only trading results move the percentage. Two back-to-back 10% periods link to 21%, not to a number a mid-record deposit would distort.

What the page always shows, and what it hides

Always shown: the platform (demo or live), the start date, and the closed trades only. Also shown: max drawdown %, monthly returns, win rate, profit factor, trade count, average hold and average R. Hidden by default, always, whatever else you turn on: the account number and the login. Hidden unless you turn it on: money amounts (a plain net total next to the percentages), the broker's name, and a display name, which is empty until you type one. Open trades never appear.

Embedding it elsewhere

The page has an embeddable widget you can frame on your own site, and a PNG badge through the same image pipeline FxMind uses for its other share cards, for a forum signature or a community post. The page is not indexed by search engines by default; you can turn indexing on once you are ready for it to show up in a search.

Changing your mind

Turning the page off, changing what it shows, or regenerating its address are each one tap, and each writes an audit row. Regenerating the address breaks every link and embed pointing at the old one immediately: there is no grace period where both work.

Questions

  1. 01

Does the page ever show my account number or login?

No, never, on any setting. That is the one thing hidden regardless of what else you choose to reveal.

  2. 02

Can I show a manual or CSV journal on a track record page?

No. Only a broker-linked account qualifies, because only a broker link can be read and verified. The page explains this in one line for visitors.

  3. 03

What happens to a deposit I make mid-record?

It is excluded from the gain percentage. FxMind reads it from your broker's own balance history and treats it as the start of a new sub-period, so it never looks like a trading result.

  4. 04

Which plan includes a track record page?

Every plan, Free included, for the broker account you have linked (Free links 1). The embed widget and badge are on every plan too.

  5. 05

Can I embed it on my own website?

Yes, at its own embed address, plus a PNG badge for anywhere that does not allow an embedded page, such as a forum signature.
