A prop firm (a company that lets you trade its money once you pass its test) sets rules: a profit target, a daily loss limit, a maximum drawdown. This tool asks a simple question: if I had taken my recent trades on a fresh challenge at that firm, would I have passed? It runs your trades through the same rule engine that Guards uses live, day by day.
Run it
- Open Journal, then Practice, then Simulator, and pick an account in Pick an account.
- In the Prop-rule simulator panel, pick the Firm.
- Pick the Account type, the Phase and the Size the firm offers.
- Set Days to replay (1 to 365). The replay starts that many days back from today.
- Type the Starting balance: a fresh challenge's own balance, not your real account's.
- Press Check my last trades.
What you get
A line that says your last days would have passed, or which rule you would have broken and on which day. Under it, Closest call shows, for each rule, how much of its limit you used at your worst moment. A note gives the date we last checked that firm's rules.
What it assumes
- Each trade is treated as opened and closed on its own, with no position open between trades.
- Only forex prop firm presets are listed.
- It is about your trades and the rules as we have them. It is never a statement of what the firm itself would decide.
Pro plan and above. On other plans the panel shows a notice with a link to the plans.
