Multi-chart replay

Replay 2 to 4 charts on one shared clock, different instruments, different timeframes of the same one, or both, so a higher timeframe never shows a bar that has not actually closed yet.

A Strategy Lab session can hold 2 to 4 charts instead of one. A timeframe is how much time one candle covers. Stepping, play and jump-to-date move every chart together: there is one clock, never one per chart, so a 4-hour chart next to a 15-minute chart of the same pair never gets ahead of itself.

Start one

  1. Open Strategy Lab and press New session.
  2. Under Charts, press Add a chart for each extra chart, up to 4 in all.
  3. For each chart pick the instrument and the timeframe.
  4. Choose the Layout: Side by side, Stacked or Grid. Three or four charts always share a grid.
  5. Press Start session.

One account, one balance

Balance and equity are shared across every instrument in the session, the same as trading several pairs from one real account. Results are shown combined and per instrument. On a phone, the charts show one at a time with a tab strip to switch.
