A few quiet minutes each week beat a long review once a year. The weekly review walks you through last week one screen at a time, then asks you to set goals for the next one.
Do the review
- Open Journal, Notebook, then the Weekly review card.
- How last week's goals went: each goal from last week is scored Kept, Not this time, or Not enough to say. This screen only appears if you set goals last week.
- Last week's numbers: trades, net result, win rate, profit factor and average R, for trades that closed last week. Below them, Your best edge and Where it cost you.
- What tripped you up: the patterns found in your own trades, such as a bigger trade right after a loss.
- Discipline: the bar chart of your own 0 to 5 ratings, one bar per day. Rate a trade or a day to fill it.
- What's coming: next week's high-impact releases for the currencies you traded.
- Press Next between screens, and Back to go back.
Setting goals
- On the last screen, Your goals for this week, type 1 to 3 goals. Press Add another goal for more, Remove to drop one.
- For a goal a number can check, pick it under the text: Limit trades a day, Limit the day's loss or Always use a stop, and type the number. A goal with No specific number is a reminder to yourself.
- Press Save my goals.
Next week's review scores the goals that have a number against the trades you really took.
The reminder
By default a reminder appears in the app on Sunday if you have not done the review. To change the day, use Remind me on at the top of the review page. You can do the review on any day.
