Short answer
- ChatGPT and Perplexity know a little about everything and their paid plans cost $20 a month. Both can show web sources. We found no MT5 link on either site, so they do not see your open trades or your stop unless you type them in.
- TrendSpider's Sidekick reads your charts and market data inside TrendSpider. Tickeron sells AI buy and sell signals. Zella AI answers from your TradeZella journal, which can sync MT5.
- FxMind's analyst answers from the news calendar, the weekly COT report, headlines and your own trades from a linked MT5 or MT4 account. Each fact carries a source label. It is not a signals service: on paid plans and in the trial you can ask it for a trade idea, which is opt-in, and you check, size and send it yourself.
- For learning, general research, stocks or crypto, the general tools are cheaper and broader. For questions about the news and the forex trade you have open right now, that is the job FxMind is built for.
Words used here
- AI assistant
- A chat tool that answers questions in plain language. Some read live data; others mostly repeat what they learned from text.
- Source (citation)
- A link or label that shows where a fact in the answer came from, so you can check it.
- Hallucination
- When an AI states something false as if it were true. Most companies in this article warn that their AI can make mistakes.
- Signal
- A buy or sell call with a price, sold as a service. FxMind is not a signals service. Its opt-in trade ideas are different: you ask for one, it is checked against your account and your rules, and you decide.
- Economic calendar
- The schedule of economic releases such as US inflation (CPI) and jobs (NFP). High-impact news means the few releases that move prices most.
- COT report
- Commitments of Traders: a weekly US report that shows whether big funds are betting on prices going up or down.
- MT5, MT4 and investor password
- MetaTrader 5 and MetaTrader 4 are trading platforms. On either one, the investor password lets a tool see the account without being able to trade.
- Pip and stop loss
- A pip is the smallest price step traders count in (0.0001 on EURUSD). A stop loss is the price where your broker closes the trade to limit the loss.
- Prop firm
- A company that lets you trade its money after you pass a paid test. It has strict loss and news rules, and breaking one costs the account.
One question, two kinds of answer
Take a question a trader might type at 8:18 in New York: "I bought EURUSD with a stop 18 pips away. US inflation data comes out in 12 minutes. What usually happens?"
A general chat tool can search the web and summarise articles about inflation days. It does not know that you are in a trade, how big it is or where your stop is, unless you type all of it. The numbers it gives come from whatever pages it finds, and it may not show where each number came from.
FxMind's analyst reads the same data as its warnings. The answer looks like this: "After the last 12 CPI reports, EURUSD moved 45 pips on average in the first 15 minutes. Your stop is 18 pips away." The first sentence carries the label Calendar · US CPI · 12 reports, the second Your journal · stop distance. Tap a label and you see the releases or the trade behind it. When there is no source, it says it does not know.
The five tools and FxMind, in a few lines each
ChatGPT
A general assistant for any topic, with voice and image input. Web search is on every plan, and answers that use it may include citations. In the US, Plus and Pro users can link bank and brokerage accounts through Plaid for the Finances feature. OpenAI says ChatGPT cannot make trades and is not an investment adviser. We found no MT5 link on its site.
Perplexity
A search-first assistant that puts inline citations in every answer, the free plan included. Its Finance section covers US markets, crypto, earnings, a stock screener and a watchlist, and can link accounts through Plaid. Perplexity says its finance data is not intended for trading purposes. We found no forex section and no MT5 link.
TrendSpider Sidekick
An AI assistant that runs inside a TrendSpider account. It can see your open charts, drawings, indicators and backtests, and pulls prices, fundamentals, filings, options activity and news for stocks, crypto and forex. TrendSpider says Sidekick does not browse the open web, that hallucinations are possible, and that it is not a signals service. It adds charting, scanners and backtesting that FxMind does not have.
Tickeron
An AI platform for stocks, ETFs and crypto that sells what FxMind does not: daily buy and sell signals, entry and exit prices with confidence levels, and AI trading robots. It also has pattern search and an AI screener. Its disclaimer says its predictions may be incomplete or inaccurate.
Zella AI (TradeZella)
The AI inside the TradeZella journal, included in every plan. It answers from the trades in your journal, which can sync MT5 with the investor password among 500+ brokers, and it can tag trades, write session reviews and flag economic events in a daily brief. TradeZella says it is not a signal service and can make mistakes.
FxMind analyst
Answers from four kinds of source: news releases on the calendar, the COT report, headlines and your own trades from a linked MT5 or MT4 account. Each fact shows its source. It does not sell signals. On every paid plan and in the 14-day trial you can ask it for a trade idea, which is opt-in: it is checked against your account and your rules, a risk note comes first, and Open in ticket fills the desk's order ticket with the idea's entry, stop and target. You check, size and send; nothing is sent automatically. It covers forex and the markets on your linked account, not stock research. It sits next to a trading desk of our own making: our own chart renderer with 40 indicators and 15 drawing tools, and a Strategy Lab that replays two years of 1-minute candles on 48 instruments so an idea can be tested before it costs anything.
Prices and limits side by side
TrendSpider's trial is paid (14 days for $19 on Standard). Tickeron's pricing page showed a sale on the day we checked, and some of its yearly totals did not add up, so we list only the monthly rates it states.
Per question, FxMind works out at about $0.20 on Trader, $0.12 on Pro, $0.09 on Elite and $0.07 on Desk if you use the full allowance. Sidekick works out at $0.49, $0.43 and $0.35 per message, plus the TrendSpider plan. ChatGPT Plus and Perplexity Pro at $20 a month allow far more everyday messages than any FxMind plan, so for general questions they cost less. The 14-day trial is full Pro, no card, with 100 analyst questions a month and 3 strategy drafts a day; trade ideas are included.

Every FxMind feature, and the plan that has it
One row for each thing FxMind does, with the plan that includes it and its limit. The other tools' cells are filled only where this post's own sources state them; everything else reads Not listed, which means we did not find it, not that it is missing.

What only FxMind does
Checked against the products researched on 30 September 2026 (their own pages first). Each line is something we did not find at any of them.
- A live MT4 and MT5 link with the read-only investor password. No EA, no install: open trades and profit in seconds. Others re-sync every few hours, need an EA, take statements or sell real time as an add-on.
- News at the moment of every trade. Each trade says whether you opened it inside a high-impact release or held it through one, with the usual move measured on our own candles.
- Prop rules watched live, before the breach. 10 firms and 641 presets for forex, warnings by email and push, and actions on the accounts you allow, with your own limits on top. The AI never opens a trade for you.
- An analyst whose every sentence cites a stored fact: your trades, the calendar, COT, headlines, candles and prop rules. Trade ideas are on every paid plan and in the 14-day trial; each has Open in ticket, which fills the desk's order ticket with the idea's entry, stop and target for you to check, size and send. Nothing is sent automatically.
- A trading desk on your own MT4 or MT5 account, with a rule check before you send. No journal we researched has order entry.
- Community with verified results. A setup's result in R and pips comes from the broker link, not from what the poster types. Following is your choice, and the trade is managed automatically only if you allow it.
- Practice on the real rules. Practise a prop challenge with the same engine as the live guard, or a past release with its usual move.
- English, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese across the app, the analyst and the briefs.
Why the source label matters more than a clever answer
Most companies in this article warn that their AI can be wrong. OpenAI writes that search results and citations can be incomplete, outdated or incorrect. TrendSpider writes that hallucinations are possible. Tickeron writes that its predictions may be incomplete or inaccurate. TradeZella asks you to review anything its AI changes.
So the useful question is not which tool sounds smartest. It is how fast you can check a number before you act on it. When a trade is open and news is minutes away, a label that opens the exact release or the exact trade takes seconds to check. A paragraph with no source takes much longer, and a wrong number can cost the account.
Who each one is for
Which FxMind plan. Free has 20 analyst questions a month, the calendar and a source on every answer. Trader ($49) has 250 questions, trade ideas and warnings before news or a loss limit hits. Pro ($89) has 750 questions, the nightly review and order entry with a rule check. See pricing.
Using a general AI and FxMind together
Many traders will keep both. A general assistant is good for learning concepts and reading about the economy. FxMind is for the moment when the question is about your account: what the next release usually does to your pair, how far your stop is, and how much of today's loss limit is left. FxMind Free includes 20 analyst questions a month and the news calendar, so you can compare the answers yourself. See features and pricing.
Questions
- 01
Can ChatGPT see my MT5 trades?
We did not find an MT5 connection on OpenAI's site on 17 September 2026. Its Finances feature links bank and brokerage accounts through Plaid, in the US, on Plus and Pro.
- 02
Does FxMind give buy or sell signals?
It is not a signals service. It explains what is on the calendar, what happened the last times and what that means for the trade you already have open. On every paid plan and in the 14-day trial you can also ask it for a trade idea; it is opt-in, checked against your account and rules, and Open in ticket fills the order ticket for you to check, size and send. Nothing is sent automatically. The decision stays yours.
- 03
What counts as a question in FxMind?
Each message you send to the analyst is one question. Free includes 20 a month, Trader 250, Pro 750, Elite 1,500 and Desk 3,200. A pack of 250 more costs $14 once (or 1,000 for $45) and stays until you use it.
- 04
Can an AI answer be wrong?
Yes. OpenAI, TrendSpider, Tickeron and TradeZella all say so on their own sites. That is why FxMind puts a source label on each fact and says it does not know when it has no source.
- 05
Is any of this financial advice?
No. ChatGPT, Perplexity, TrendSpider, Tickeron and TradeZella all say their tools are not investment advice, and so does FxMind.
